KNB will issue loans for properties that meets NSC Building Code. This will mean the owner will likely need to renovate the building to comply with standards. This is done to provide a safe, and efficient home free of things like asbestos, and VOCs. It will also provide for convenience as the buyer will not have to worry about a gas bill since everything will be electric. Obviously, this may not be worth the cost of renovation. If that is the case, the consumer must go through a credit issuer that is not KNB. If the consumer wishes to go through KNB for the mortgage, then the property must be NSC standard, and it is that simple.
