The KNB is responsible for calculating credit scores. This keeps other more well known credit scoring agencies out of the system since they have different modules which may make their scores hard to actually get and accurate picture of. This is too shady for the government to accept, and therefore pushes the responsibility of the scores onto the KNB. Obviously, there is positive actions, and negative actions. Everyone when acquiring a bank account will be issued an initial score of 500. It is up to them to increase or decrease their scores. And unlike other systems, paying bills on time is considered as good for the credit score as every company is required to report any payments (on-time or late) to the National Bank’s credit system. This will also apply to housing rentals too. Every payment required, or bill paid is reported.
